About Hexham Bowling Club
Home of Ossie the Mozzie
The heart of the Hexham Community for over 65 years
For over 65 years, Hexham Bowling Club has been at the heart of the local community, bringing people together through friendship, entertainment, sport, and great hospitality. Located in the heart of Hexham, just minutes from Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, the club has grown from a small local facility into a thriving community hub with more than 10,000 members.
Home to our famous roadside mascot, Ossie the Mozzie, Hexham Bowling Club welcomes people from all walks of life — families, bowlers, retirees, workers, sporting groups, community organisations, and visitors from across Newcastle, the Hunter Region, and beyond. We are proud to support local Schools, sporting teams, community initiatives, charities, and events that help strengthen the communities we serve.
Whether you’re visiting for a meal, live entertainment, raffles, bowls, a special event, or simply catching up with friends, you’ll always find a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome. With quality dining, exciting promotions, regular entertainment, and a strong community spirit, Hexham Bowling Club continues to be a place where friendships are made, traditions are celebrated, and everyone belongs.
